+ U14 Feile Na Nog
Our U14 boys played in the Feile Na Nog blitz on Saturday last which was hosted by Williamstown. We were victorious in the 1st game beating Williamstown 3-6 to 1-2. In round 2 we had a victory over Dunmore with the final score Glenamaddy 1-14 Dunmore 1-2. Our next opponents were St. Brendans and this game finished with Glenamaddy 3-4 to St. Brendans 0-6 resulting in us qualifying for the semi final where we played a strong Monivea side who had a comfortable victory over us. We thank the management team of Pat Geraghty, Christy Dolan, Michael Heneghan and Des Joyce and a special word of thanks to the players and the parents who supported us on he day. A special thanks to Williamstown for their hospitability.
Our U14 boys play Mountbellew/Moylough on Friday April 22nd in Glenamaddy at 7.
+ U16 boys
Our U16 boys drew with Dunmore in the 3rd round of the league with the score ending at 0-6 each. We play Athenry at home on Tuesday next 26th April.
+ Na Gleannta Fixture.
Good luck to the Na Gleannta minor team who play Kilkerrin/Clonberne this Wednesday in Clonberne at 7, in the North Minor B2 League.
+ Internediate Team.
Our Intermediate Team travelled to Spiddal on Sunday last for the 2nd round of the league. We lost 4-10 to 2-7. Spiddal led 2-7 to 1-5 at half time. At one stage Spiddal were 8 points ahead but we managed to claw back their lead to a single point. This is a great positive aspect that we can build on from this game but our own indiscipline cost us dear!!
We play St. Brendans in the next round.
Team : Barry Curtin 1-1, Noel Fahy, John Keaveney, Patrick Conneally, Luke Conneally, Aidan Hanley, Aaron Hynes 0-2, Aidan Geraghty 0-1, Fionan Keady, Sean Conneally 1-0, /Michael Geraghty, Luke Giblin, Keith Davis, Martin Conneally 0-1, Thomas Curtin 0-2.
Subs: Keith Cunniffe, Anthony Comer, Dereck Miskell, Damien Miskell, Robert Molloy and Michael Gibbons.
We wish a speedy recovery to John Keaveney.
+ Glenamaddy Community School Junior Girls - All Ireland Final
Hard luck to the Glenamaddy Community School Junior Girls who fought gamely against a more skilful Longford side. The girls never lost heart and should be proud of the fact that they represented their school in the best possible manner but were ultimately defeated by the girls of Colaiste Muire Longford
