News update for w/e July 31st.

Connacht Medal!
Congratulations to Cormac Raftery who won a Connacht medal with the County U16 football team when they beat Mayo North East on Monday last in the Ted Webb competition. The final score was Galway 1-10 Mayo 0 - 5. Well done Cormac!

Na Gleannta Minors v Caherlistrane
Na Gleannta minor team had a successful start in the 1st round of the championship when they beat Caherlistrane 0 -13 to 0 -7. This was a tough game from the start with both teams  striving for success. Na Gleannta had a well deserved lead at half time having played  the better football scoring 0-9 to 0-3 having been in command in all areas of the pitch.
In the 2nd half they lost Nigel Fahy to injury but thanks to the hard work of the remainder of the panel the game finished with Na Gleannta on top. This was a very good team performance and they now play Williamstown in Clonbern on August 10th
