November update

  • North Board League Final U13 boys
Glenamaddy 1 - 10  Headford 2 - 3

Congratulations to our U13 boys who beat Headford at Monivea on Sunday 31st October to take the North Board League title. In a hard fought game the boys were leading 1 - 6 to 1 - 2 at half time with the goal coming from Ryan McHugh; Glan dominated the midfield with Colm Fallona and Michael Geary ensuring the forwards had a steady supply of ball.
At the beginning of the second half Glan scored the first two points to put them six points ahead. Headford then began to apply the pressure but thanks to the skill of goalkeeper Cormac Haslam they weren't able to overhaul the Glenamaddy side. Eventually Glenamaddy managed to close out the game to take the title.
Zac Conneally, Mark Dolan, James Dillon and Jack Divilly worked hard throughout the game and Colm Fallon gave a Man of the Match performance.
An excellent team performance from a group of players who have a 100% record in this competition. Well done to the management team of Jerry Fallon and Padraic Glynn.
Thanks to the Oakland Hotel for providing food and refreshments to the team, and a specila thanks to all the parents and supporters who supported the team on Final Day.
