Great escape!!

Glenamaddy 1 - 11   Killererin 0 - 14

Glenamaddy emerged from this close fought encounter with a creditable draw after never really looking to be in contention.  Killererin started brightly, but were thwarted by the Glan goalkeeper in the first minute when a goal seemed certain.  They also missed a further two easy points and should have been 5 points up with only minutes gone. The luck was with Glenamaddy though, as although Killererin soon found themselves 3 points clear they were never really able to dominate the scoring, although they always looked the most dangerous side.
If determination could win the game!!

By half time the score stood at Glenamaddy 0 - 4  Killererin 0 - 5 so all to play for.

Great skills

Could the managers weave their magic though? What do they say at half time? Does this picture give us a clue?

It all looks very relaxed!!
As the second half wore on it looked increasingly likely that Killererin were going to steal the honours as they gradually racked up a 5 point lead as Glenamaddy looked increasingly uncompetitive!

Killererin player able to take ball unopposed!!
Again though Glenamaddy dug deep and found strength and inspiration from somewhere as they gradually clawed their way back into the game to close out a nervous draw almost on the final whistle.

Focus and determination see Glenamaddy through to a draw

Next game:  v. Kilconly on Saturday - see post dated 15th June
